This Giving Tuesday, Help BCR Keep Momentum on the Water

Giving Tuesday is December 2nd, and we invite you to include Berkshire Community Rowing in your year-end giving — especially if your employer offers donation matching!

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, BCR’s Building Fund has grown from $5,000 in January to $46,000 in November. This progress puts us in a strong position to dream bigger—but we’re not done yet. With your support, we can continue to build a more inclusive, accessible future for rowing in Berkshire County. Our year-end goal is to raise $10,000.

At BCR, we believe rowing is for everyone. That’s why we offer scholarships to any new rower who cannot afford our fees, ensuring that cost is never a barrier to discovering the joy and confidence that come from sculling on the water.

Build BCR’s Scholarship Fund.

You can make a difference in the life of a young rower by donating.

We bring rowing to the young people of the Berkshires that may not see themselves as fitting into the sport. Perhaps they see rowing as an elite sport, or maybe they don’t know anything about rowing at all. We want them to know about it. We want them to give it a try, and to see themselves as belonging to our crew.

In 2024, we’ve made great strides in realizing this mission, and you can make a difference here.

The annual cost of each child in BCR’s Junior Intensive program is $1750. In 2025, we want to add twenty fully funded kids to our crew. To do that we need to build the scholarship fund to $35,000.
